The Mersey Four Band Equalizer was designed to pay tribute to Sound Techniques founder, Geoff Frost and his iconic recording history.  In 1963, CBS bought Levy Bros. Studio in London, where Geoff was Chief Engineer.  Shortly after that acquisition, Geoff decided to strike out on his own and build his first mixer with Oriole Records backing. 


Geoff took his mixer and headed straight to Liverpool to record an iconic album set called, “This is Mersey Beat”, documenting the Liverpool music scene during a period in which The Beatles were still playing The Cavern Club.  Geoff set up shop in the Rialto Ballroom in Liverpool where he recorded a world famous album called, "This is Mersey Beat."

Mersey Beat included Rory Storm, The Hurricanes, Faron's Flamingos, Ian and The
Zodiacs...it goes on. All live.  All Amazing...and all on his first little console..Mersey Side!  This event later proved to be the true beginning of Sound Techniques as a builder of pro audio gear.  So Geoff...this one's for you!
